Brouwerj the Musketeers Troubadour ObscuraBrewery: Brouwerij the musketeers Type: Dark Strong Ale

Alcohol: 8.2%

Country: Belgium

This was a really unique and cool beer I had at my favorite bar. It is a Belgian ale but it was categorized under stout and porter. I had to give it a try, and I was not sorry. Pours a dark brownish color, still relatively light, with a decent size head that hangs around. Big smell of caramel and spices. Taste is all the nice caramel taste with a lot of sweetness and a hint of coffee. Nice spicy clove taste but the normal over ripe fruit or banana is masked by the dark malts. Has a very dry mouthfeel but is very heavily carbonated which all together makes it dangerously drinkable. I really enjoyed this beer. It is the perfect hybrid of belgian dark ale and typical stout and I found it a really interesting beer.
