Another Belgian style Christmas beer from Denmark. Thisted Jule Ale 2012 pours a very dark amber color, almost completely opaque with a decent sized head. A spicy sweet malt smell and belgian yeast greet the nose. The taste is certainly a Belgian ale, dark fruits and spiceness mixed with a little bit a sweet caramel and a little bitterness. It is very dry and certainly reminds me of a beer spiced for Christmas. Not bad.
