We all know the famous saying from the comercial, "Foster's, Australian for beer". Well I would amend that to say "Foster's, Australian for crappy beer". I have it on good authority from people who have been to Australia that this is actually hard to find there. Well good for them passing off this horrible beer to stupid beer drinkers the world over. Foster's Lager pours out looking like most other lagers, pale yellowish with a generous head. Has a funky pilsnery smell. The taste is where I take issue with it. the adjuncts used to cut this beer pop up right in the front. The taste is harsh and skunky with an unbalanced bitterness in the end. The mouthfeel is almost all carbonation, this thing is really fizzy. I have actually avoided this beer for quite awhile on hearing how bad it is, I saw it and decided to give it a fair spin. Don't make the same mistake.
