Picked a case of this up in Germany the last time I was there. I like a good English ale, I guess that is what you could call this. It has a distinct caramel and bread taste, very sweet for a lower alcohol beer. I mean it is very drinkable, for a mass produced English ale it is ok. I would not recommend buying a giant case of royal english ale as I did.
