Årets udenlandske bryggeri 2016 (Years Best Foreign Brewery)

Stigbergets Bryggeri/Omnipollo/Brewski...I'll just go with Swedish breweries to make it simpler.

I’ll just go ahead and choose three of the breweries that actually managed to impress me this year. I tripled up on foreign breweries because Danish breweries got schooled in 2016, so much so I couldn’t even come up with one for best Danish brewery this year.

You heard me! While well established and formerly groundbreaking Danish breweries were busy building their brick and mortar empires and making sure their tanks were full for the export market the youngsters were doing work. The new school trendy styles setting the beer world on fire were embraced with open arms by [especially] the Swedish breweries such as Stigbergets, Omnipollo, and Brewski. While breweries in Denmark were picking out table settings and food pairing these kids were putting beer in slush ice machines and pushing the boundaries of hop haze in the glass to the edges of madness.

Maybe the market here is just maturing and I should give into my greying hair and make a reservation for a tasting menu. Nah I’d rather have whatever Omnipollo has in the slush ice machine with a side of Stigbergets hop soup.
