Black River Stout
Brewery: Quay street brewery
Type: stout
Alcohol: 6.1%
Country: USA
A brewery from my home town of Port Huron. This stout is named after the river I grew up boating on. It is named the black river because of how muddy and opaque it is. This stout certainly takes after its namesake being very very dark with a string roasted taste. It has a deep deep coffee taste of burned hops that goes almost into a smoke taste. This might have been dipped straight out of the river behind the brewery but it tastes good enough that you would order another.
